Nate’s centralized/stage performances feature illusions and mentalism with objects viewable from 50+ feet away. When performing close-up, he entertains with various items such as cards, coins, bills, Rubik’s cubes and pens. He may even “borrow” a watch or ring from an audience member from time to time! This type of magic is perfect for cocktail and dinner parties, business meetings, and functions of all types and sizes. “Strolling” or mingling magic involves the performer interacting up-close with the audience offstage. Audience members will enjoy illusions on a more personal level right in front of their eyes, and in some cases, in their own hands. Yes. Nate does have live performances for children’s birthday parties and schools when his schedule permits. He’s also available for virtual magic shows on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Hangouts.
Nate does not include any offensive material in his shows and audiences appreciate his unique form of clean comedy. While performances are typically designed for corporate or leisure adult audiences, shows are family-friendly and children love his interactive close-up illusions.
In most cases, Nate requires a non-refundable booking fee for reserving his services. The amount is usually 50 percent of the contracted fee. Upon booking, clients will receive two invoices via DocuSign. The Booking Fee invoice is due within two weeks of the initial agreement. The Remaining Balance invoice is due on the date of the event.
Yes, Nate is available for travel worldwide.
The client is responsible for flight, hotel and car rental expenses unless otherwise agreed upon. Nate typically books his flight(s) immediately after receiving a signed agreement and booking fee. He will then send the client his flight itinerary along with an updated invoice showing travel expenses.

Upon canceling an event, the booking fee will be retained by Nate, but applied to a rescheduled date, pending availability.

Customer satisfaction is the goal and Nate always tries to be available to meet the needs of his clients. Additional fees may apply, but as long as he doesn’t have a conflicting engagement, he will stay.
Nate accepts checks and all major credit cards via the Quickbooks secure online payment system. A 3% processing fee is applied to all payments made by credit card. The fee is simply passed to the client by the credit card company. Payments can also be made through Venmo to @Nate-Jester.
Yes. This is referred to as a Performance Agreement and all booking terms are listed in the paperwork upon booking your event.
Nate is able to provide performance insurance if requested by the client. He can also provide proof of additional insured if requested prior to signing the contract. There is a surcharge for being listed as Additionally Insured. Please contact us directly for updated pricing.
All events are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Unless otherwise agreed upon, the event date will not be reserved until Nate has received the signed performance agreement via DocuSign. It is recommended to sign your agreement as soon as possible.

As you can imagine, becoming a master in the art of sleight-of-hand is difficult and requires years of practice and dedication. Nate’s sleight-of-hand skills are now second nature, but for years he practiced 4-8 hours a day to improve his talent. However, the technical aspect is merely a portion of what makes an illusionist a great entertainer. Nate’s ability to interact with the audience and connect with spectators is what truly sets him apart.
Nate learned the majority of his tricks by reading books, working in a magic shop and through countless hours of practice and exposure to the industry. He also gives a lot of credit to Steve Dobson, a magician who mentored Nate, providing valuable knowledge and lessons.
Card tricks! Due to the complexity and variety of card tricks, Nate enjoys the endless options a single deck of cards offers. In addition to jaw-dropping card guessing and sleight-of-hand tricks, audiences will witness cards warping together, flying through the air and even shooting from Nate’s mouth!
He doesn’t let it cramp his style. He instead uses it as motivation to come up with new effects to leave even “those who think they know” in utter disbelief!
Nate’s favorite illusionists are Dai Vernon and Lance Burton. Vernon was a pioneer of magic who took the art to another level. He passed away in 1992, but his legacy lives on and he’s fondly referred to as a “magician’s magician.” Lance Burton appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson 10 times and another 10 when Jay Leno was host. Nate is not currently offering magic classes
Nate has been a valued member of the Magic Castle since 2001. He regularly travels to the castle for both business and pleasure. The Magic Castle is a nightclub for magicians and enthusiasts, as well as the clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts.
